Q: We want to buy a new home. Should we visit
the model home development to find out what we want before
we sign an agency agreement with your company?
A: No. You may lose an opportunity to select an agent to represent you. If you visit the development without a buyers agent, the representative of the model home could assert the right to collect the selling commission. In which case, they may tell you that if you want to use your own agent, you will have to pay for the service.
